Each year, on February 22nd, the Girl Guides celebrate Thinking Day. It is a day when Guides all over the world think about their sisters (and brothers!), the meaning of Guiding and its global impact.
As part of the celebration this year Mrs Westley invited all Welwyn St Mary’s pupils and staff, connected with Guiding or Scouting, to wear their uniforms to school. Mr Stockton predicted that there would be about 30 pupils involved. How wrong he was!
104 pupils and staff proudly wore their uniforms to school today. It was really rather lovely to see them – from Year 1 all the way up to Year 6 – alongside Mrs Rogers, Mrs Williams and Miss Snowdon. Congratulations to all of you for representing your groups and Thinking Day so magnificently!
